Swedish
Swedish massage is the most common and well known type of bodywork. The goal is to relax the entire body by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. The five basic strokes are effleurage (light touch), petrissage (kneading), tapotement (rhythmic tapping), compression, and vibration. Lotion or Oil are used to reduce friction and stimulate the skin. Swedish massage is excellent for, decreasing muscle tension, increasing oxygen levels in the blood, and improving circulation and flexibility.

Shiatsu
Shiatsu massage is a traditional Japanese hands on therapy. Shiatsu techniques involve the use of fingers and palm of one's hand to apply pressure to particular sections on the surface of the body for the putpose of correcting the imbalances of the body, and for maintaining and promoting health. Shiatsu uses no lotion or oil and can be performed with the client fully clothed. Shiatsu is great for clients who are new to massage therapy, clients that do not like the use of oils or lotions, or anyone looking to just relax.

Deep Tissue and Myofascial Therapies
Deep Tissue massage and Myofascial Therapies are used to address chronic muscle tension and reduce scar tissue. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia. Deep Tissue and Myofascial Therapies use little to no lotion or oil. Deep Tissue and Myofascial Therapies are very beneficial to clients who are experiencing moderate to severe muscle tension in a specific area.
